Sarah Andelmen, co-founder and former creative director of prestigious Paris concept retailer, colette, is partnering with Vault by Vans to shine a spotlight on 4 artists in celebration of International Women’s Day.
Andelmen notes that she immediately thought of these specific women when the project began, having met them at various points over the years and being inspired by their creativity and passion for what they do.
Fumiko Imano’s work includes a body of photomontages and self-portraits that are taken with a 35mm camera which are then cut and pasted to create a twin-like motif. Fumiko utilized her solo exhibition entitled “Somehow Somewhere Sometimes at Some Place for Some Reason” which was on view at Kosaku Kanechika Gallery in 2020 as inspiration for her three-piece capsule collection which includes the OG Sk8-Hi LX.
